If you like a change, this is the project for you. Take down the chandelier and remove the bulbs. Tape off the area that you do not want to color. Buy a spray paint that would match your decor. There are some new ones on the market, high gloss, semi-gloss, patine, textured and hammered. I recently did my old colonial chandelier that had rusted and was outdated. I used the black hammered look. I took the chandelier into the garage and hung it on a beam.
Then I covered my mouth and nose with a mask and started spraying. I let it dry 24 hrs. I had to buy a new chain for the chandelier because the old one broke. These you can buy at any home store. I used chandelier lights, and bought some cool looking shades, also at the home store. I get so many compliments on my new chandelier and people want to know where I bought it. I am thrilled to tell them that it’s my old one, redone.
